Linking Verses and Scenes

You can connect Verses using either the XR Creator or directly within the Metaverse. Depending on your preference, you’ll need to either create your Verses or build scenes that reference other Verses via a URL.

Create Verses​

If you want to connect Verses with Jump buttons for other users to explore your worlds, start by creating the different Verses you want to connect.

Although you can create Verses directly from a scene URL, this will generate a new Verse each time. To link multiple Verses, we recommend creating the Verses first and then updating them to use a scene that contains links to the other Verses.

  1. In the dashboard, create a new Verse from the Verses tab to save its link for later use. You can also create a new Verse using the ‘Try it now’ button in the XR editor, but you’ll need to copy and save the link manually.

  2. Repeat this process for each Verse you want to have available.

Option 1: Linking verses from inside the Metaverse​

There are different ways to link Verses together directly from within another Verse without creating new scenes:

From the settings of the Verse:

  1. Visit the Verse that you want to add other Verse links to

  2. Copy the URL to another Verse

  3. Go to the scene settings and display the Advanced settings dropdown

  4. Paste the URL in the option to Add a portal to another metaverse. This will generate a 2D icon inside of the Verse with the title and picture of the Verse linked.

Creating an image:

  1. Visit the Verse you want to add links to.

  2. Copy the URL of another Verse.

  3. Paste the URL anywhere in the first Verse with ctrl/cmd + v. This will generate a screenshot of the Verse and add a ‘Jump’ link.

From the toolbar:

  1. Visit the Verse you want to add links to.

  2. Open the toolbar and click on upload

  3. Upload a 3d object or an image you want to use as a portal

  4. Copy the URL of another Verse.

  5. Click on advance options and paste the URL. It’ll give you the option to hide the Jump button

  6. Click on the Create object button. This will generate an object with a link to another Verse

Option 2: Linking Verses inside Creator projects​

You can also link Verses together from inside of a Creator scene. To do this:

  1. Create a project
  2. Use the Creator 'Link' element to create a new link in your scene
  3. Place the link element where you want your portal to the other Verse to be
  4. Copy the Verse link that you want to link to into the link element 'URL' property
